At Harvest Home, our Performing Arts program is tailored for students from Prep to Year 2, with the goal of igniting their passion for drama and music. Aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, the program emphasises the development of creativity, self-expression, and collaboration, while focusing on key areas of Drama and Music to inspire and nurture each student's artistic potential.
Through engaging activities, students explore basic elements of drama such as movement, voice, and storytelling. They develop confidence and communication skills by participating in role-playing, improvisation, and simple performances. In music, students are introduced to rhythm, melody, and different musical instruments, allowing them to experience music-making in a hands-on and enjoyable way.
By engaging in both individual and group activities, students enhance their problem-solving abilities, fine-tune their listening skills, and discover the joy of performance.
This exciting program not only nurtures artistic talents but also supports the development of important social and emotional skills, providing a strong foundation for a lifelong love of the Arts.
