(Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics)
STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) at Harvest Home Primary School focuses on the subject areas of digital and design technology. This combination guides students in developing a range of important skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration.
The subject offers a wide range of exciting hands-on opportunities for students to explore with immersive projects like 3D printing, coding opportunities, and the use of various digital systems like Sphero Indis and Bee-bots, providing creative and thought-provoking learning experiences.
At HHPS, our program provides an exciting and innovative approach to education that supports our students to be digitally knowledgeable and curious life-long learners.
STEM is currently undertaken by all students in Years 2 – 6. The skills learnt during STEM support our student device use within Learning Communities for our BYOD program.
