Student Leadership

Our Student Leadership program at Harvest Home offers a wide variety of positions to our students. Our School Captains (including 2 Captains and 2 Vice-Captains) lead our Together on Friday celebrations each week, writing their own script and presenting in front of hundreds of people. Leadership positions aligned to our Specialist areas, including PE, Visual Arts, STEAM, Sustainability (Science) and Spanish support our Specialist teachers in running Engagement Clubs at break times and setting up for events such as interschool sports.

Our Student Voice Leaders work with our junior Buzz Leaders to discuss whole school matters and organise events, such as our HHPS canned food drive in Term 2. We also offer other leadership opportunities such as our Learning Leaders, Together on Friday Leaders, Pride of Place Leaders and Flag Leaders. Our student leaders attend leadership conferences each year, including the GRIP Conference and Dream and Lead, whilst working closely with their teachers to support their leadership development.

A message from our leaders

Hi, we are the 2023 School Captains, Harleen, Jaideep, Chelsea and Akshaj.

Welcome to Harvest Home Primary School, where you will always be greeted with a friendly smile from teachers and students, who will be displaying our school values of Being Respectful, Being Safe and Being My Best.

What we love about our school:

  • I like the way we set up our Learning Communities, where we get to work in flexible spaces and visit different teachers
  • I like how students have a say in what they want to do, e.g. we can choose between tasks, use different resources and if we work independently or with a partner
  • All of the teachers are respectful, kind and caring and want all students to succeed in every lesson
  • All of the students are very inclusive and welcoming

We hope you enjoy our school website as much as we love being Leaders at HHPS.
