At Harvest Home Primary School, our student leadership program is designed to support students to discover their leadership potential whilst developing their problem-solving skills and increasing their confidence and independence as young leaders.
Our student leadership program consists of Year 2 – 5 Student Buzz Leaders and Year 6 Student Leaders.
Year 6 Leaders
Our Year 6 Students Leadership positions include School Captains, School Vice Captains, Flag Bearers, Physical Education Leaders, Visual Art Leaders, STEM Leaders, Performing Arts Leaders, Language Leaders, Learning Leaders, Student Voice Leaders, Positive Climate Leaders and Together on Friday Leaders.
Throughout the year, our student leaders have opportunities to present at weekly Together on Friday celebrations, work with teachers to provide student feedback, support various tasks related to their subject area including Engagement Clubs, representing the school in various roles and assisting students with learning tasks. They also participate in the GRIP Student Leadership Conference, and work closely with their teachers and peers to further support their leadership development.
Buzz Leaders
A Buzz Leader role (known as Student Voice in Year 6) requires students to take an interest in the needs, voice, and well-being of all the students in their community, cohort, and the wider school. More about our Buzz Leaders can be found on the Student Voice and Agency page.
A message from our 2026 School Captains:
Hello and welcome to Harvest Home Primary School.
At Harvest Home, you will always be greeted with friendly smiles from teachers and students. In our school community we learn together and always demonstrate our school’s values of Being My Best, Being Respectful and Being Safe. As School Captains, we are always ready to help our school community in any way needed. We encourage all students to come and say hi to us at anytime.
What we love about our school:
We love being leaders at Harvest Home Primary School and we hope you love our school as much as we do.
From Allegra, Aarnav (2026 School Captains), Zaynab and Amandra (2026 School Vice-Captains)
