(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics)

STEAM integrates the learning areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.

This combination creates creative and thought-provoking learning experiences to guide life-long learners who are ready to be active and informed global citizens.

The Media Arts and Digital Technologies Curriculum learning areas both underpin and compliment the STEAM specialist area as they guide students in developing a range of important skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration. The subject offers a wide range of exciting hands-on opportunities for students to explore with immersive projects such as filmmaking, interactive applications such as coding using Minecraft, and the use of digital devices such as Sphero Indis.

Through these experiences students also gain valuable experiences with 21st century technologies such as digital devices which are crucial skills in the world today.

With two full time specialist STEAM teachers, our program provides an exciting and innovative approach to education that supports our students to be digitally knowledgeable and curious life-long learners.
